TIA Library Structure
The Library is under the Director of Academic Affairs. The library is made up of three sections: Reference,Technical and Lending section.

Section Functions
The Technical Section is concerned with organizing all received information resources by recording, classifying and cataloguing. Lending section provide Readers’ Services and Circulation of materials.

Goals and Objectives
The main goal of TIA Library is to support teaching, research and consultancy in the Institute as well as at higher learning institutions and in the community. The objectives of the Library are to meet the information needs of the academic community by acquiring, processing, storing, preserving and disseminating relevant materials, managing information, educating and training library users on search, access and utilization of information services and providing practical training facilities for Students.

The Collection
The Library contains books that cover a wide range of subjects related to the TIA field offered and CDs. The Dewey Decimal System is used to classify information resources acquired by the Library. Books in the Collection belong to different subject areas such as Information Technology, Management, Accounting, Sociology, Marketing, Microfinance, Banking, Business Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Taxation, Materials Management, Communication Skills, Auditing, Law, Entrepreneurship, Research Methods and many others.

The Collection is subdivided into two areas.

  • Special Reserve Collection
  • General Collection
  • Services

Services provided include book lending, readers’ advisory, general reference and special reserve.
Users
Library services are available to Institute Students, Lecturers and Staff. Outsiders who consist of Researchers, Students of other institutions of higher learning and members of the general public are given access to the library at a fee or with special permit.
Sitting Capacity
Total of 350 Users can be accommodated in the library at a time.
